Standard, Extended and Labor warranty coverage’s
All warranties and labor coverage’s apply to Decatur auto parts Inc. inventory only. Brokered or special order items supplied by a vendor other
than Decatur Auto Parts Inc. will carry the warranty provided by the supplying vendor. All parts are guaranteed to be in “as described”
condition at the time of purchase/ delivery. All warranties shall be void if the part(s) returned do not have the identifying mark(s) which
appears on all Decatur Auto Parts Inc. parts both brokered and in-house.
The silver warranty gives the original purchaser a six month parts only warranty regardless of mileage. If the purchased part fails within this
time, it will be replaced with a similar like, kind and quality part. If no part is available a refund will be given for the original purchase price.
The Gold warranty gives the original purchaser a one year parts only warranty on major drive train components. If the purchased part fails
within this time, it will be replaced with a similar like, kind and quality part. If no part is available a refund will be given for the original purchase
price. There are no mileage restrictions attached to this warranty. An additional Labor warranty may also be purchased at the time of sale.
The Platinum warranty gives the original purchaser a two year parts only warranty on major drive train components. If the purchased part fails
within this time, it will be replaced with a similar like, kind and quality part. If no part is available a refund will be given for the original purchase
price. There are no mileage restrictions attached to this warranty. An additional Labor warranty may also be purchased at the time of sale.
The labor warranty is a labor guarantee that can be added to any major drive train silver, gold or platinum warranty. This warranty covers labor
at a maximum of $50.00 per hour based on labor times from the standard flat rate of Mitchell Repair Estimating Services and up to the
purchase price of the invoice.
Sheet metal and body parts carry a lifetime warranty that will protect the original purchaser against abnormal rust and corrosion.
- All warranties begin from the original date of purchase, not the date of installation. All extended warranties are purchased as a
replacement of the standard warranty and not as an extension to the standard warranty. - It is the customer’s responsibility to retain the original invoice and present it for claims.
- Decatur Auto Parts Inc. reserves the right to repair, replace or refund the purchase price of any part sold under the standard or
extended warranties - Warranties are for the original purchaser only and are not transferable, except when purchased by a repair facility in which case
warranty will also cover the facility’s customer for which the part(s) were originally purchased for. - Seals, gaskets, and similar materials should be replaced before installation, and are excluded from any of the above warranties.
- All parts purchased from Decatur Auto Parts Inc. have been drained of all fluids. After installation, the purchaser understands that
flushing cooling systems, all lines and fluid replacement is their responsibility. All filters and fluids need to be replaced and filled to
the proper levels in accordance to the manufacturer’s specifications. Failure to follow proper installation and maintenance
procedures will void all warranties. - To validate warranty, the purchaser will be responsible for all routine oil and filters changes during warranty period and must be
able to provide proof if claim occurs. - Warranty claims must be approved by Decatur Auto Parts Inc. management before any work is done.
- Warranty claims will be paid only upon the release and authorization of all receipts for work performed
- Warranty is void if the covered part fails due to faulty installation, modification, negligent use, the failure of a non covered
component part, accident, abuse, neglect, vandalism, improper maintenance, or if the vehicle is used for off road or racing purposes. - No reimbursement will be made for expenses incurred due to the use of or failure of the purchased part, including but not limited
to towing, car rental charges, lost wages, income, lost time, or inconvenience.
